# Get verified

> Link your nation to your Discord account

Verification links your in-game nation to your Discord account. You need it for almost every bot command. It takes two minutes.

## Verify your nation

1. Run `/verify start nation_link_or_id:<your nation link>`.
2. Open your in-game inbox. The bot sent you a verification code.
3. Run `/verify finish code:<the code>`.

The bot links your nation and gives you the Verified role.

If you applied on the alliance web portal, add your applicant `code` to `/verify start`. The bot then also unlocks your portal dashboard at [theimmortals.pw](https://theimmortals.pw/).

## Joined the alliance after verifying?

Run `/verify sync`. The bot re-checks your alliance and grants your portal access. If you are not a member or applicant yet, the bot gives you an apply link and a recheck button.

## Optional ping roles

Run `/self-role role:Open Targets` to toggle the beige ping role on yourself. The bot pings this role when raid targets leave beige.
